Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home by using a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to research at a public university my nsfas or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public nsfas status check universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
